GARY F. STEIN, MD, MPH
Dr. Gary Stein has 35 years of experience as a primary care physician with the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. He specialized in medical spine care and was responsible for establishing spine clinics in northern California, Washington and Georgia. He served as Chairman of the Spine Chiefs and on the Board of Directors of the 6,000 physician Permanente Medical Group, northern California. He was Chief of Occupational Medicine, San Jose. In his early career, he founded and was Medical Director of Group Health Plan of Northeast Ohio & Cleveland Community Health Network and was Chief of Health Services Planning for the Metropolitan Health Planning Corporation, Cleveland.
MALCOLM GORDON, MD
Dr. Malcolm Gordon has 35 years of experience as a practicing Primary Care Internal Medicine physician. He served for 18 years as Chief of the Department of Medicine at Kaiser Permanente San Jose, California. He oversaw the work of primary care and specialty care physicians serving a population of 245,000 members. In this role he improved appointment access, quality measures and patient satisfaction. He also orchestrated the rollout of the Epic electronic medical record and the integration of mental health services into primary care delivery. In his early career he worked for a federally funded community health clinic in east Palo Alto.
